Terms of Service of Align

By downloading, installing, or using Align, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the app.

1. Acceptance of Terms

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Align mobile application ("App") and related services. By accessing or using Align, you agree to comply with and be bound by these Terms.

2. Description of Service

Align is a time blocking and calendar management application that helps you organize your schedule. The App provides both free and premium features through Align Plus subscriptions.

3. User Accounts and Data

Local Storage: All data you create in Align is stored locally on your device.
iCloud Sync: If you enable iCloud sync, your data is securely synced to your private iCloud account. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your iCloud account.
Data Ownership: You retain ownership of all data you create using Align. We do not access, collect, or store your personal data or time block information.
Account Responsibility: You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your device and iCloud account credentials.

4. Align Plus Subscriptions

Subscription Plans: Align Plus is available through various subscription plans (weekly, monthly, yearly) or as a one-time purchase, as offered in the App Store.
Payment: All payments are processed by Apple through the App Store. You agree to Apple's payment terms and conditions.
Auto-Renewal: Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can manage subscriptions in your Apple ID account settings.
Refunds: Refund requests are handled by Apple in accordance with their refund policy.
Feature Access: Access to Align Plus features is granted for the duration of your active subscription or one-time purchase.

5. Grandfathered Access

Users who used Align prior to version 1.12.0 are granted lifetime access to Align Plus features at no additional cost. This access is:

Non-transferable
Tied to your Apple ID
Subject to continued availability of the App

6. Intellectual Property

App Ownership: Align, including its design, features, and content, is owned by us and protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.
User Content: You retain all rights to the data and content you create using Align.
License: We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use Align for personal, non-commercial purposes.

7. Prohibited Uses

You agree not to:

Use Align for any illegal or unauthorized purpose
Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App
Remove or alter any copyright, trademark, or other proprietary notices
Use automated systems to access the App
Interfere with or disrupt the App's functionality

8. Termination

By You: You may stop using Align at any time by deleting the App from your device.
By Us: We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to Align if you violate these Terms or engage in fraudulent or illegal activity.
Effect of Termination: Upon termination, your access to Align Plus features will cease, but your local data will remain on your device.

9. Disclaimers

Service Availability: We strive to provide reliable service but do not guarantee that Align will be available at all times or free from errors.
Third-Party Services: Align may integrate with third-party services (such as iCloud). We are not responsible for the availability or functionality of these services.
No Warranty: Align is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly, or any loss of data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses resulting from your use of Align.

11. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify users of material changes through the App or other reasonable means. Your continued use of Align after such changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

12. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable laws, without regard to conflict of law provisions.
