Subtasks
Subtasks let you track checklist-style steps inside a time block.
What Subtasks Are
A subtask is a checklist item attached to a time block. Each subtask has a title and a completion state.
Add Subtasks
- Tap a time block to open the editor.
- Scroll to the Subtasks section.
- Tap Add subtask.
- Enter a title.
- Press Return to move to the next subtask.
Edit and Complete Subtasks
Mark a subtask as complete
Tap the circle next to the subtask.
Remove a subtask
Tap the remove button next to the subtask.
Reorder subtasks
If the editor shows drag handles, drag a subtask to reorder it.
Progress on the Timeline
When a time block has subtasks:
- A checklist icon appears on the time block.
- A counter like
1/3appears next to the icon (completed / total).
Time Block Completion
When you save a time block with all subtasks completed, Align also marks the time block as completed.
Recurring Time Blocks
If you add subtasks to a recurring time block, those subtasks are part of the series. Completion is tracked per occurrence.
